MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Posted December 8th, 2010 by admin

2010 For the Bergs has been a little uneventful.  We finished 2009 with a bang and our Russian trip to Moscow and Saint Petersburg so we decided to sit it out and do no traveling this year.  Instead we worked our Pet Sitting business as hard as we could for the next 365 days till present.  Most of the time we were very busy so the few days we had just one or two pets scheduled was always a welcome break.  As it turned out and even with a bad economy Neil and I had our best year ever.  I have brought on some really good folks to help with the overflow pet sits.  Over Christmas we will be doing at least 10 sits per day for about ten days straight.  NO SLEEP FOR US.  We always celebrate our Christmas early because of our schedule.  This year was no different and so we celebrated at Crystal and Kirks home and had a very nice time with family and grandkids.  All is about the same with our adult kids but the grandkids are growing up very fast…Activities range from swimming, soccer, football, video games and facebook…Of course they are all  terrific, the boys are handsome and the girls are gorgeous!!

About the only real diversion we had this year was when we hosted two girls from Moldova , Iana Pustovaia and Valentina Cheban.  The girls came through the Open World Program at the Library of Congress and the International Affairs Council of the RTR.  This group was a group of News paper reporters and TV talk show hosts ETC.  They were a very interesting group and we so enjoyed our girls for the week.

Our sad note is that we lost our 17 year old Marry Main Coon cat to cancer in Sept.  She was a special kitty and is missed by all of us.  I now have only three of the old kitties left and after I lost my special Busterfiled last year I felt like an empty nester so we now have a newly adopted group of kitties…Taffy…Hayden…Annabella (only 3 legs)…Little Bugger.  They became part of our family and joined Peppy…Marley and Gisey.  And with that we want to wish you all HAPPINESS DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND THROUGHOUT THE NEW YEAR.
